How the social code works

A social QR code is a profile URL built for you from the platform and your handle, so you cannot mistype the path format. Scanning opens the profile in the app when it is installed, and in the browser when it is not.

Because it is an ordinary link, it works with every camera app — no platform-specific scanner required.
